Ball lightning incident/question.
« on: July 16, 2010, 12:49:10 AM »
I had a question about a ball lightning. A teacher I had a few years back in middle school had an experience where lightning hit her house. About 30 seconds after, a strange Blue Green glowing ball or orb of light about the size of a volleyball rolled off of her roof. Had the same behavior as a bouncy ball. It fell onto her driveway, burnt through her fence, rolled into the middle of her yard, than disintegrated. The next day she went to examine. Their was a patch of dead grass. But it wasn't until a week later that patch of grass started to smolder and burn. So my question is, does ball lightning have long term delayed effects like that?
