Brian, mine ranges from 27% to around 50% I can never remember webcamcapture being anywhere near 4%
even when it was on this dual core 4gb machine when i 1st started out with WD But then i use 640x480
320x240 would give you much, much lower cpu ;)

Hi Lars, Is yours reflecting some light its picking up? Thats certainly a strange image,
i aint never seen out like that with mine, this is my image below without the anti flicker,
if i turn it on it makes no difference... At least i can now seen why you use it :D

I now know what the matter is with your image, now i have seen it in the daytime.....

its overexposing, The best way to cure it is to raise the angle of the camera so that it sees more sky or
stick a sunglasses lens over the camera lens...

What i think has happened is, as were coming into summer time the suns angle is higher and now too bright for
your image... do the above and you will notice a great difference ;)

To lower the CPU in webcamcapture, Change the freamrate down to 5.00 frames it will lower the cpu by half
Kind regards

Simon

Bashy,

I'll get Bruv to raise the angle when he visits tomorrow and see if that makes a differnce. Thanks for the suggestion.

I wonder if a vari-focal sunglasses lens would do the trick.

Thanks to Lars and Brian also for their input.

Not sure about varifocal but just a lens from a cheap pair used to work for me...

When your Bruv raises the angle you need to be able to see more sky than greenery cause
at the moment its the greenery that the camera is settings its exposure to... :)
Kind regards

Lars,

I can no longer use the Dorgem settings as you have shown. I used to be able to, but now if I try to change anything, every time I click on 'Apply' I get an error message that says Dorgem needs to close. I have reinstalled Dorgem to no avail.

Try to use another software and see if it's work to change the setting there, if so then it's Dorgem that causes the problem.

Bashy's suggestion has cured the problem and it all looks good now.

Many thanks for all of your help.
