Are radar detectors allowed in NZ?

Yes , I think so ( my brother has one )
speed limits 100 kmh ( motorway ) and 50 kmh ( in town )
what you really have to be aware of are the hidden speed cameras 
just stick to the speed limit and there wont be an issue
