Just FYI....  This isn't a cPanel issue in and of itself.  It is likely a result of a add-on firewall installed by Blue Host.  My own company (www.denverwebhost.com) runs cPanel servers and there has not been a problem with numerous WD fed websites.

Thanks for the info, it must have been something they added at the same time as the update because it didn't happen to my site till they updated my cPanel, no problem till then.

Hi

Do you still have an issue with BH? I can upload 2...3 days clientraw in a row no problem, but then it halts. Restart brings the connection back live. (As a backup I'm uploading with cron in every 3 minutes, which works just fine.)

Since I don't serve mine off Bluehost (using an SSL server on my home network), but do have an account, I'd be curious to know how that works.  Is it an 'always connect' ftp that just updated the clientraw on the go and then sends the other files via a schedule?

I've just never tried it on a remote host yet.

Sorry to open this topic again...

Is anyone else experiencing this issue still?  I've recently run into this problem after switching to BlueHost, although it seemed to work fine for some time.

Thanks,

Adam

I would contact their support first to see if they can see the problem.  It may have nothing to do with this issue.

All you need is Time, Aptitude and Desire ... and you can build just about anything...

My host uses CPanel. (webhostinghub.com.) Not had this issue. Seems to be limited to one provider. So far. BRGDS,

I wounder if 1and1 did something along these lines.  For over 5 years I had no problems.  Then bam, I was getting locked out as a hacker suspect.  I would have to call them and wait 24 hours to get access again.  I swiched to e-rice and have never looked back.  And e-rice is much, much cheaper to boot :)

The problem is that every time they do an update it puts all security futures to default. What is the default? 1 FTP session per account. No host is pleased with our type of accounts, live update every 10 sec. plus all other uploads (web cam/s, 5 minute uploads for various files, video, forecasts, lightning etc..) they put a lot of strain on their servers and they don't like it. Had the same problem with my host, I was lucky and managed to have 4 FTP sessions open, but they kicked out a friend of mine. So just ask your host nicely to open more FTP sessions for your account. If your problem is not solved try to cut down on transfers, sometimes we over do it by uploading stuff that is not all that important to anyone.

I've been going round and round with them for some time.  My last ftp update was on 5/23, yet they keep telling me it will reset in 45 minutes.  I waited over an hour and still no access.

Any idea what they changed to make it work.

Well, FWIW, I lease and operate a few cPanel servers and host a number of weather websites for folks on this board (including my own) and these problems are not seen by me or them.  It isn't really a cPanel issue as much as a problem with your hosting provider and the way they have their server configured.
