UV index and sun hours
« on: March 11, 2010, 10:09:09 PM »
I got a regular weather station hooked up to weather display.

I am thinking about getting a new davis station, with the option too measoure UV.

But i am wondering if I got a UV sensor, what can i measure ? The sun rais uv index?

The thing i really would liked to measure is how many hours of sun i got where i live daily?

I am not so intrested in the strenght of the sun.

So if i get a UV sensor, will it measure how many hours of sun i got daily? If so can sombody show me an example how this is displayed?

WD calculates estimated sun shine hours from the solar wm/2,compared with what is expected, so a davis solar sensor provides that info
