Well unless my eyes deceive me those are driver version 5.3.
The latest are 5.4.29 which are Windows 7 compatible.  Uninstall those by right clicking and also confirm to delete driver. Then download the newer drivers from the link I gave earlier. Make sure you don't install them in express mode instructions under faq's.
You then should be working.

Have made several tests with newest drivers (5.4.29) but as long as same message appears, and the usbdevice
is not recogniced, no contact will be made between station an computer. This drivers just in for the sake of showing
the pictures as its just the same with the same error.

The computer looks OK but I think that the data logger is in USBexpress mode. You need to run the Davis program to change it back to serial, then you can set the com port in WD to 3. If you run Weatherlink do not pick USB. Use serial with com port. When you pick USB the Davis data logger is set to USBexpress and will not see the com ports.

Have tried this ofcourse, but as I previously have said.. As long as the USBunit not is recogniced bye
the computer, the Davisprogram for changing it back to serial does not help at all, all the time it just
states that there is NOTHING connected.

Otherwise, that would be a great idea.

Ofcourse..

After a conversation with the supportdude at the place we bought the setup, we/he have concluded
with that we should just give up the effort to get it working on my win7 computer. Why It seems
to have the same issues on my XP and my friends 6 other computers that he have made a go on, is
beyond our comprehension.

His ideas for å solution is:
* Make a go on a fresh installed computer, preferably XP OS. -This is not a option for us, as we have tried on several now.
* Get the serial datalogger, which should be effortless to get working. -This is my thought also and is something we should
have go for in the first place.
He says it most likely is a computerissue at our place, but the datalogger may have gotten it at some point.

I I'm pretty sure that this is time spent that I will never get back and is pretty pissed on the whole situation.

Thanks very much to all who have made a go on this for us, and hope we will be online sometime in the future
with other hardware that works.

Sincerely
Arnt Eirik Hansen

Nice here you're online but your weather page doesn't seem to be working.

I notice that the datatransfer stops every now and then.. so I have to restart the ftptransfer.
Maybe something to do with the computer going to sleep and some other basic settings in
the Weather Display program or maybe some configuration in the *.xml file

Some suggestions?
