Wind MPH stops working Build 55/56 (Resolved)

The wind speed stoppped working as of build 55.

the consule is showing wind speed when i restart WD all is okay i can see wind speed.

then after 2 minutes the gauge reads 0.0 until i restart WD wind direction in not affected.

no change has been made to the wmr968 type station
try though build 56, as build 55 seemed to be a bad compile

the wind speed graph is working but if i look on the top of the main graph (plotting) i see avg speed 0.0 - max  gust speed 0.0 after 30 seconds the wind dial stops

note that a compiler upgrade means the data at graph mouse postion means you have to move the mouse off to the right past the end of the graph to see the latest data at mouse cursor postion

but I dont think thats what you mean

is there is any errors in the file programerrorlog.txt, where you have WD installed?

you say the windspeed dial stops working but the average speed is still being graphed OK even after that?

programerror.txt is empty

the graph shows nothing
the wind dial speed shows nothing
at the top of the main graph where the barometer is shown,  the digital readouts are avg 0.0 gust 0.0

So i have unplugged the consule and reset still happens.

the pattern:

wind speed is shown on WD launch and stops when the Main display "refreshes" the wind speed now shows 0 or 1 mph and will not return to the normal wind mph currently 6.7mph on the consule

would a new install fix and would i lose all my data and history.

when you say refreshes, do you mean on the minute change it stops?
does any other data stop as well?

yes i would say on the minute, when you look at the main display it flickers every minute i guess that is the refresh it has always done this.

no just the wind speed all over data updates great, i have just turned off the main FTP switch still the same i also downloaded the full package still the same

  Well i fixed the problem by moving the WD.ini file to my desktop, and restarted WD no problems i just set up the station again, but i have lost my all time records

i guess WD.ini was corrupted, i will email you the .ini file later. for review if that helps

I wondered if it was some setting problem in the ini file
you can copy back the all time records section from the back up ini file
( do that when WD is not running)

Artpics, did you get all fixed up?
if you still need to restore you all time records, and can;'t get it from the ini file, you can also re-import the logs if they are in good shape, from the Action>Convert Log files to Graph... I have done this many times in the past when WD was less stable than today... haven't had to for many months now, but it worked great (see my site) That command will step through every month's logs and look for extremes and reset the all time records.
