Hi,

No, i haven't changed VVP. Will do a test with a older version of WD, just to see if its have any difference.

EDIT: Testing with VVP + 10.37O Build 02 now and so far seems good. Do someone have a earlier version of 10.37P to test with?

one thing that changed in WD is that I now check the barometer value
if that goes out of range, then WD will ignore the data

I know there was a firmware update to correct problems with the barometer on the console going out of range when the indoor temperature got high

Hi Brian,

Thanks to jwwd i have now a few older versions of WD to test with (at the moment on 32bit XP). The two what i have tested are 10.37P b 14 and 10.37P b20. I have also b16 here but not tested it yet.

b14 works fine, 2000+ packets without problems. b20 have so far only few hundreds packets but one thing i noted:
In b14 the WD's clock works smoothly and fine, but in b20 it every now and then takes 2-3 seconds jumps instead of the smooth 1 second-jumps, also outside of the top-of-the-minute. There are almost more of the odd jumps than 1 second-jumps now when looking at it. In b14 it don't do it.
I have that force baro every minute unticked.

the new 3D gauges take a bit more CPU than the old ones
what speed PC?

I could undo that barometer check as a special version for you to test

thanks. Installed it. At least beginning seems fine, 200 packets get without problems, the clock is still a bit jumping but maybe its just a cosmetic thing, bedtime now so will let it run to tomorrow and see how it goes. :)

Brian,

Nope, did not help. The special b22 stopped after 330 packets too, tryed 2 times and both times it stopped almost at at same place.
But b20 seems to work, with no changed settings or similiar, just a clean downgrade.

Hi again Brian,

Got b21 to test with and it didn't worked either so as result:

- 10.37P b20 (and earlier) works
- 10.37P b21 (and newer) do not work, they stop after x packets

I am also running Win 7 64-bit with VVP and had the exact same issues as you. I solved it, but you may not like my solution. I could not get the free 64 bit driver to work with WD. I had to purchase the VSPE program from Enterlogic.com. My installation has been rock solid ever since.

Thanks to Microsoft Corporation policy, we need to pay $499 every year for the digital signature to make VSPE work on this platform [64 bit]

That's why you need to order 64 bit VSPE license.

It's price is $24.95.

But $25 really isn't a lot for something that works well  :D
