Hi
could someone who has trouble with the later versions "crashing/locking up" please help:
is it that its just the overlay info that stops updating?
(i.e the actuall picture is still updating)?

I have noticed just recently that I "lose" my Logitech webcam, I get a blank preview window (it is my second webcam) and I have to [Start Preview] top left hand corner.

"Keep Alive" was checked and so now I have unchecked it to see if it is part of the problem.  Not sure if this is related to the above request.  This has begun since about Build 20.

there has been no update to the wdwebcamcapture.exe program though for a while (13th jan), so will not be related to build 20 (which came out on the 6th Feb)

I was guessing at the date, I was on Build 16 before that.  Will watch and see what gives at the moment. I have to reboot the software on the main cam inside 24hrs each time at the moment, conflicts with ULD Lightning Radar on a slow (2.1GHz celeron) Win2K PC.

Three small problems.
1. Preview picture disappears and needs Start to make it show - but it does continue the capture, in my case every minute.
2. Opening it from the System Tray causes it to lock/hang - but not very time.
3. After viewing a .wmv then a floating window goes to the top left of the screen. The only way to get rid of it to close and restart the program.

If the program is left in the System Tray without manual interference the captures work fine.

Brian,

Since march 2009 V7.1 no more overlay, or if tick that on, the text/data from jan 2009 appears; only actual date time stamp shows up (see att)

the webcam picture is working oke and updating V9.3

thnx !

Brian,
I went back to version 8.4 when windows 7 came out and I have had no problems with it what so ever.
I have the a Logitech 9000 pro which a lot of people with this problem seem to have. I found that the latest version would just hung, double clicking the minimised icon in the tray did nothing.

I am not sure if I can add very much but I have been struggling with the overlay on IP cam#1. I have been having a few problems here concerning the stablity of the webcam images and all seemed well after a full install of the latest Version on 24 February 2010 - 03:53:19.

I am not currently using and custom codes just time and temperature.

I was pleased to see the full year reappear (2010) but today it has returned to (10).  Not necessarily important but noticed.

I have noticed any font changes are not always held.  Whether this is when I do a reboot or WD start I am not sure but I will try in investigate this further.

I also seem unable to get the #1 IP cam to appear as an image on the main webpage (Erith.htm) in my case. It always used to be there using a webcam but since managing successfully to get my IP camera working it no longer appears.

Finally, the #2 webcam animates but it stops at dusk.  The normal image continues ok.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Bob.
