so if no one is going to move past build 77 I dont think there is much point in supporting and offering it any longer
(especially as there is so few users left with the Mac version anyway)

I am currently testing build 80, since my last post as I stated I would do. I will give you an update when I have something to report, on a different thread as this thread is reserved for another purpose.

I think there is some confusion on the status of the last build which would explain why users have not moved forward with it. The only thread about it ( http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php/topic,51013.msg410899.html#msg410899 ) was left dangling out there with no follow up from you, and the original poster went back to build 77 without stating why, so users didn't know where to go with it. Let's give it some time Brian before you abandon the mac version. Thanks,

Paul

Brian, I will gladly use and test new versions for the MAC.

I had also read the thread on 80 and saw it dangling / open to if it was stable or not.  I know many times it is the user machine instead of WD that causes the issues.

I thought I read that you were having a problem with your mini, I would be willing to send $100 USD via paypal to help you out with your mini issues.  I'm a MAC convert and once I have WD on the MAC my home will be rid of Windows :).

Personally I will NEVER go back to a Microsoft / windows computer, even if they get all of their problems solved in my life !   ( Microsoft will never rid itself of bugs, malware, or viruses  )

I deal with every type of system where I work, from old dos 3.1 to W7,  3 flavors of Unix, Linux, Mac's etc etc ..  Personally I think anything with a unix kernel is more stable then
anything Microsoft will ever produce.   True there is more s/w for Microsoft platform, but it is usually buggy

I am at the newest build, 81 it says even dough it says 82 on the download page. No problems as I know, I use WD only to upload the necessary files for WDL to work.

I have fixed the build 82 not being available

have you fixed the problem you had before though or is it no longer a problem?

my problem with several instances of WD starting up over time is still there, but I control it by restarting my mac automatically every morning. I have given up finding out why WD starts over and over again. But it works fine, 100% availability and 100-200 users visiting my weather webpage every day.

Hi All

Running a MacBook Air with version 10.7.2. I am in the process of moving from and PC to the MAC and would like to install WD on it. Ive had a look through the download/install instruction and even after following them i get an error with the zip file (it is unstuffed correctly) the text in the crash reporting indicates that it is in fact a crash.

Any ideas on how can install this software?

M

HI
I missed this post
make sure to first install the full install version, and follow the instructions in the installer, and also install the library files
then the .zip update

After 2 days of trying installing the Weather Display for Mac (and reading this forum for solutions) with no successful results, I've decided to ask for help! HELP!!!!!
I recently own a Davis Vantage pro 2 (with the extra UV- and Solar sensors and has also the extra fan installed). I want to use the WD software on my iMac with OSX Lion (version 10.7.3). I did everything by the book and how it's explained on the forum but when I start the WD I only see the startup screen and it hangs...the rainbow-colored ball keeps spinning forever. Only with force-quit I can quit the program. The program seems to respond weirdly and sometimes I can reach the setup but I never saves my settings and again I have to use force-quit.

Go to your Lion/Library/ApplicationSupport/ create a folder called wdisplay and make sure the folder permissions are read and write The mac install doesn't create the wdisplay folder in Lion

BIG THANK YOU Coyote!!  :D :D :D That helped a lot! I wish I could buy you a beer
Now the program seems to respond and I can spent time to discover how to receive data from my Vantage Pro 2 into WD!

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks, Coyote. I owe you a beer, too.
