Weather Display Live for the iPhone and Android

Hi!

Sorry to disturb, not even sure if you still code iWDL since it was a month since you logged into this forum.

But if you are still coding, I would like to report a small bug .. The problem is with the yr.no forecast setting.

setting it to "Norge/Hordaland/Bergen/Bergen" works just fine, but my setting is "Sverige/Västernorrland/Gudmundsbyn" ... with a swedish ä

the actual yr.no url is http://www.yr.no/sted/Sverige/Västernorrland/Gudmundsbyn/

copying the yr.no url here changes it to http://www.yr.no/sted/Sverige/V%C3%A4sternorrland/Gudmundsbyn/ but that doesn´t work in iWDL either (but it will take you to the correct url if you click it)

neither does http://www.yr.no/sted/Sverige/Vasternorrland/Gudmundsbyn/

Hope you might have a good idea on how to fix it, since I love using iWDL

PS. Can add to the prevous post that the black screen on the android devices is gone when you reload the page DS.

Hi

I have been running this great script for a long time - thank you very much.

After my Android device has been updated to ICS (Samsung Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.3) im not able to scroll down the screen anymore.

Anyone else have same issue?

Yes, I noticed the same thing on my Transformer Prime.(ICS 4.0.3)
However, this is in landscape mode.
If I change to portrait mode scrolling works.
If I change to landscape mode again, scrolling works here too.

You must save the config file in UTF-8 format. I had the same problem with VästraGötaland

Are you using the icontype id's or are you grabbing the images from the forcast website? If you are using the icontype id's what are the numbers corresponding to the images?

 I solved the problem with swedish characters by creating shortened Google URLs at http://goo.gl/

My problematic http://www.yr.no/sted/Sverige/Västernorrland/Gudmundsbyn/ is read by iWDL when I use http://goo.gl/XhT6k

I'm not sure what happened but somehow I have old data cached on my iphone.  If I use a desktop icon I get yesterdays data.  If I go from the browser I get the current data. 

I tried it on my ipad and its working fine so I know it is just my phone.  So far I have cleared the cache & cookies, and have even turned on private browsing and rebooted.

Any idea where this is getting stuck at?

Yes, I experienced the same with my HTC Wildfire.
I always had to refresh multiple times to get new/recent data.
On my tablet I had never problems with it, would load instantly recent data.

After doing some searching, i added an .htaccess file.  I had a typo so the app then give me a server error.  After I removed it everything worked fine again.
