Hi there,

Just installed my first station here in Lima Peru. Few minutes ago I got IWDL running and it's nice and very satisfying. Congrats to the developer Sietse! On my Android it's without a hitch and I am waiting for some iPhone guys for feedback. However on my wife's Symbian 60 (Nokia C5) IWDL does not go beyond the first page. I have no real idea and haven't dug any deeper - but it would be nice if somebody can give me a hint if it works on Symbians. The page is here http://deltavolt.pe/weather/meteo-movil/#home

btw, nice temperatures here in the southern hemisphere. 8)

Hi Brian,

no it's Lima, Peru ... Dry and hot at the coast, but the rainy season in the Andes.

Re: Weather Display Live for the iPhone and Android / clientrawextra data fields

Hi Sietse

Can you (or anyone) tell me how to use data from the clientrawextra.txt in addition to the clientraw.txt?
In my case it's the snowfall data field I wan't to show in your excellent iWDL.  I can't find it in the fieldnames list in iwdl_lang_en.js.
I have attached a clientrawextra.txt sample, the field with the snow depth has the value "839".

Regards, Tom

iWDL will only run on browsers that support webkit; I guess Symbian does not.

Yes, a once-in-4-year-bug :)
I saw it as well, will have a look in 4 years ;)

Tom, I will have a look; it requires some rework on iWDL because it assumes that actual data is in clientraw.txt, not in clientrawextra.txt.

Hoi Sietse,

When I open my http://iphone.bommeltje.nl in Safari on my iPhone, I only get a black screen.
Same with your demo site. When I use the "put in homescreen"-option, then it works fine.
Also when I open the link with Safari on my PC I get a black screen.
Is this a known issue or am I the only one experiencing this?

Btw: can I zoom in on the google map?
Where do I change that setting?

I don't have the issue on my phone, but I do get a back screen in Chrome on my PC.
I made a quick change on http://sietse.net/iwdl - can you check whether it still gives you a black screen? In Chrome, it is OK now.

Well, it changed something, black turned into white on my iPhone ;)
But still can't see the normal page.

When I use Atomic Web on my iPhone, I have no problem.
Opera shows white background which doesn't add to the readability.

May I add one more question?
The color of the graph titles (text) is now white.
On yellow background it is very hard to read (for me that is).
Can I change that myself?

And is there a way to change the zoom level of the location map?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Found the file to change the zoomlevel: iwdl.js
Guess I have to change one of the css files to change the white text above graphs back to black...

Hi!

Iwdl works great on my iPhone 3GS & iPad 2, but not at all on my friends android phones. Have tried with HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy SII & Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Also like others before me I get a black screen in Chrome on Win 7 x64, works fine in IE9 on the same computer.

Love the way it works on iOS though! :)
