Dayboro webcam
« on: December 31, 2009, 01:31:33 AM »
Finally made the plunge, got an Olympus C-750 and hooked it up to the weather server with VM95 (running in VM).

Here are my first attempts.

Still trying to figure out how it all works. Does anybody know how to stop the memory card from filling up?

Thanks
H.

I have the same camera too, love the pics from it, but my 240v PS is dying when overheated and the camera turns off - I think that is what is causing it.  I tried a second C-750 and that does the same thing.  So the only common item was the plug in power supply (not the Olympus model, hmmm).  Need 5.5vdc at 1amp minimum, so might be looking for a bigger power pack.

I have a 6.5VDC, for sure you made a typo.

Got it from Jaycar, works a treat, let me know if you need one and I send you one up. (not sure if they have jaycar in NZ).

I think he is meaning the input not the output power, LOL
If it were the output he would have cooked the thing, hahahaha

Chuckle chuckle

The olympus C-750 needs 6.5 input, not sure how it could work on a 5.5.

Yes, it was a typo, yes we do have Jaycar here (has to be 6.5 to allow a series protector diode to give say 5.0V at all times.)  Thanks for that, if you can tell me what stock number, that would be helpful too.

This one is doing the trick for me

Mind you it is all outside, not sure how hot or cold it gets.

Yes it looks ideal at 2.5Amps - thanks for that... :)  I was up in Jaycar in Auckland 2 weeks ago, I wish I had realised the issue before then!!  I was a passenger then and bought nothing...   LOL
