double click that error box to make it go away

for what ever reason there is not enough memory available for WD to use on your pc

I can see the gust needle OK in the screen shot you posted

but yes I could make it a darker colour
just did not want to make it too obvious otherwise people will be saying, what is that needle?

or I make it where you select the colour

its not very clear what you are meaning there exactly

works great here in testing

A selectable color would be fine.
I meant by a darker color was to make it just a shade or two darker as I understand the reasoning of not making it too obvious.
I did double click the box and it went away.
What I meant was I could see the wind speed indicator dial working and changing. I was not seeing the directional indicator dial working but after getting rid of the box, I was able to see it working.

So basically speaking, everything is working now on the gauges as they are supposed to.
I am unsure, unless it is this crappy video card, why I am short on memory.  It is the only program running on the dedicated weather box with the system running 1Gig of memory. Prior to this latest version ("P") I was not aware there was a problem and never received any error boxes like the one that originally prompted my question. I guess that is to say I cannot guarantee the problem did not exist prior but was never made aware of it by a notice.

Also, has anyone answered the previous inquiry about importing someone else's registry key to gain a similiar look of thier WD? I really like Herlov-DK's look.

Carl,
If you go in the internet section of this forum, in the Graphics section, there is a script available for a cloud base/height to add to a web page.

Hi

You use the move and resize option, took a while to do mind, go to Setup then Advanced/misc settings then choose the Main Window Customise and tick the 1st box them come out of there.

Then on the main screen you need to use the shift button and the mouse to move objects and use the CTRL and the mouse to resize objects, it will take a while before you get it to how you want it, mine aint finished yet as i need to fill that hole on the right side, not sure what with yet though.

How did you get your graphics to show at bottom?  Everytime I try to move the graphs I wants to move an element of the graph (key lines etc.) rather than the entire graph. Would you be willing to send me your reg file for me to try and see if it will import/work here?

Click in between the lines and make sure you use the shift button to move them

Sadly, you cannot import someone else's settings unless you have a 100% identical setup, from the station type to the unit settings cause if you imported my ini and and registry settings (you need both) you would end up with my settings, i.e. graph setup, main screen, login details for WU, CWOP, AWEKAS, Solar setup, graphics, webcam, should i go on? i think yiu get the idea though, it would be a major mistake for you to use someone else's. It is a shame though but thats just the way WD works, unless Windy could implement a way to export the whole Main Screen settings and a way to import them, but i have a feeling it would be a lot of work for him to do this.

Sadly you must persevere with it, sorry about that!

from the wdisplayftp.reg file
[main screen custom]

section
copy that section into a new .reg file you create (different name)
which has the same header as the normal file

Thank you Brian, I have now created a custom .reg

As i was asked for this i have now added my custom main screen into a custom registry file
for use by anyone, see disclaimer please....

Disclaimer

Make a backup of you reg file 1st by going to Action menu then Back Up Windows Registry Entries

If you go ahead and use this file, you do so at your own risk, modifying the registry is never a good
thing to do unless you know what you are doing.

On top of that this is MY OWN custom screen, there maybe small additions that might not work for
your setup, I give no guarantees that this will work or you will like it once installed!

Here is my Custom Screen and the file is included in a zip, Scanned with Kaspersky and clean!!!

To install the .reg file Shut down WD then all you need to do is, extract it to your desktop, then right
click on the file and choose Merge, you should get a confirmation saying that its completed, then
delete the file!

Download from here
