I am new to WD but have been doing some 1-wire stuff for a while. I've searched and read most of the posts regarding Linux and DS9490R and am still a little confused. Please forgive me if the following are repeat questions which have been answered in other threads:
My Config is as follows:
OS: Debian lenny
Weather station: 1-wire (mix of AAG and Hobby Boards stuff)
interface: DS9490R
1. I have oww installed and running but want to access the 1-wire bus directly from WD. Is this possible?
2. In the config.txt, the very first line refers to weather station type. What would the weather station type be if direct access is supported?
3. In my install of Debian, there is no /dev/ttyUSB0. The device is listed at /dev/bus/usb/001/002. Do I create a symbolic link to /dev/ttyUSB0? I've read all the threads on /dev configuration and am having a hard time getting my head around it. Any suggestions would be great.
