No problem Ken, Glad I could assist!

Just as an FYI:

Had another brief fetch failure and the script worked fine this time after the above fix was implemented.

I cant remember, its been awhile. But doesnt this script also show the Short Term Forecast? I made the changes cause of the new format from the NWS, and they issued a short term forecast for my zone, but my site wasnt showing it. Thanks, Mark.

Yes it does. You are still using the beta? rss-advisory.php - V2.00 04-Aug-2009 BETA .027
You should update to the latest version.

I'm having a problem with the top warning script.  Right now there is a tornado watch out and my script is showing 'There are no active watches, warnings or advisories for zone MIZ005'.  Using the test page is showing the same thing...  http://www.642weather.com/weather/top-warning.php?zone=MIZ005  I'm wondering if the script is broken or if the problem is with NWS for some reason?

I was having the same issue, but it is associated with the Zone vs County codes mentioned above.  I believe the Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Watches are issued for County Codes or MIC instead of MIZ.  For Marquette County (I'm in Harvey), the MIC code is MIC103.  If you go to http://www.weather.gov/alerts-beta/wwaatmget.php?x=MIC103 the watch shows up.  I'm wondering if I'll need to run the script twice to account for both options.

Nice to see someone living so close to me.  LOL  Well that sort of explains it if they are issuing by county code now and not zone.  I didn't know that.  I tried changing to the county code but it isn't pulling up on my website even though the test page shows the watch correctly.

OK...

I see there is an updated script.

NOAA ATOM/CAP Top Advisory Warning PHP script

I'll have to play with that tomorrow.  Thats what I get when I don't check back here a little more often.  I usually only notice when something breaks.  LOL

OK. So schools were let out early for PDS TOR Watch. Then twice, we headed to our TOR shelter. 2 TDs w/in 3mi....so far.

Anywho, all day my pg only showed a wind advisory.
 #-o
Then realized there was an updated script, so I updated.
I am using ALC089 vice my old ALZ006. Made changes in the script, but it still shows wind advisory. And when I click on it's link, it uses ALZ006 vice my new ALC089. I also changed my main pg too, to reflect the new code, but still getting the old alz006 reference.

Any ideas?

I'm using atom-advisory in place of it now.

Lee, with the way the NWS has been fooling around with alerts, I've had
good luck with using county zones along with the regular zones. Here's how
I had to set up mine as I was having the same issues as you.

Code: [Select]
###  COUNTY/ZONE SET UP  ######################################################################################
$Code_Location = array(
   "NYZ037" => "So. Oneida", // S ONEIDA - priority zone listed first
   "NYC065" => array(1 => "NYC065",'a' => "NYZ037"),  // COUNTY CODE => COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE ONEIDA CTY
   "NYC065" => array(1 => "NYC065",'a' => "NYZ037",'b' => "NYZ009"),  // COUNTY CODE =>  COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE => ONEIDA CTY
   "NYC043" => array(1 => "NYC043",'a' => "NYZ032",'b' => "NYZ038"),  // COUNTY CODE =>  COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE => HERKIMER CTY
   "NYZ009" => "No. Oneida", // N ONEIDA
   "NYZ032" => "No. Herkimer", // N HERKIMER
   "NYZ038" => "So. Herkimer", // S HERKIMER
   "NYC053" => array(1 => "NYC053",'a' => "NYZ036"),  // COUNTY CODE => COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE MADISON Cty
   "NYZ036" => "Madison", // MADISON
   "NYC049" => array(1 => "NYC049",'a' => "NYZ008"),  // COUNTY CODE => COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE LEWIS Cty
   "NYZ008" => "Lewis", // LEWIS
   "NYC075" => array(1 => "NYC075",'a' => "NYZ006"),  // COUNTY CODE =>  COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE => OSWEGO CTY
   "NYC077" => array(1 => "NYC077",'a' => "NYZ046"),  // COUNTY CODE => COUNTY CODE => ZONE CODE => OTSEGO Cty
   "NYZ006" => "Oswego" // OSWEGO

);

Lee,
The last time I chatted with Ken about this issue (early September) he indicated the County alerts were not flowing reliably to the Zone alerts and that it was a NWS issue they are aware of and working on.
