Do you ever get that feeling where you wish you never started something?

Yeah, especially when you wanted something to be perfect and then
it turns out that there are different stokes for different folks.

Yeah, i know what you mean, I made some new wind rose graphics that took ages to get
right for what i wanted then  before i knew it i had PMs and posts asking to change them
to suit there sites and so on... i didnt mind so much but i didnt really know what i was doing
so it took a lot longer than it would with someone whos savvy with graphics...

Still, its a great script that Rainers made and has supported it well, I just switched on
the seasons, i love the images and im very grateful...

I remember seeing something similar that someone had made loads of header images to suit
his current weather conditions, loads of images were used.... :)

Slight problem here when trying http://southerin-ny.org/cloud-base.php?uom=E&html=1&test=3 or http://southerin-ny.org/cloud-base.php?uom=E&html=0&test=3

Shows:
Code: [Select]
Warning: imagealphablending(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /virtual/users/e14016-14028/web/cloud-base.php on line 839

Warning: imagesavealpha(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /virtual/users/e14016-14028/web/cloud-base.php on line 840

All the other tests 1,2,4,5 work correctly.  #-o

Using version 1.9, unless I botched up something here once again.

Hi Zalmor,
Sorry botched up again ... was a copy and paste problem from windsock code to moon code without the necessary changes made.
It only happens when you're not displaying the windsock

Grab the update below.

Last edit: Also fixed overflow of cloud height text into conditions when cloud is very low or it's misty.

There have been a couple of problems with
the OZZ METARs which I have corrected.

Grab the update below.

I've also made the changes to the METAR DECODER
which will report the OZZ METARs correctly.

Last edit: Updated yet again ... found another bug ... grab below.

Hello guys, and congratulations for your great work here :)

Unfortunately, I can't make this script to work :( I have tried almost any possible way but the result I get always is this:

http://www.meteokav.gr/cloud-base.php

clientraw files are here

http://www.meteokav.gr/wdlive/clientraw.txt
http://www.meteokav.gr/wdlive/clientrawextra.txt

Weather Station with Ajax Script here
http://www.meteokav.gr/weather/

In cloud-base.php the changes I made are these:

Quote

$Settings    = './weather/Settings.php';       // optional ...not required

$WXtags      = './weather/testtags.php';       // optional ...not required (overridden if specified in Settings.php)

// WD SETUP ONLY ... The below will be overridden by Settings.php if it's available
$clientraw   = './wdlive/clientraw.txt';      // relative file address for WD clientraw.txt
$clientextra = './wdlive/clientrawextra.txt'; // relative file address for WD clientrawextra.txt

$pathToImages     = './wdlive/images/cb/';      // path to the background, cloud, windsock and scale images (with trailing slash)
$pathToMoonImages = './wdlive/images/cb/moon/'; // path to the  moon phase images (with trailing slash)

Is there anything wrong? I have tried also to put cloud-base.php  on /weather/ and /wdlive/ and I still get the same image. It seems that the code can't "read" my clientraw files.

Thanks for any help!

Hi John,
You ain't doing what you say you're doing ... you've got 2 dots for clientraw files:
Code: [Select]
$clientraw   = '../wdlive/clientraw.txt';      // relative file address for WD clientraw.txt
$clientextra = '../wdlive/clientrawextra.txt'; // relative file address for WD clientrawextra.txt

You need to change to ONE dot i.e. './wdlive/clientraw.txt'
The way you've got it it's looking for the files below the root.
Cheers,
Rainer

Hello again.

Well I have tried it even with one dot and without any dots too, and the result is the same :/ Strange?

http://www.meteokav.gr/cloud-base.php

The path for the images is working ok, and I have it like
Quote
$pathToImages     = './wdlive/images/cb/';      // path to the background, cloud, windsock and scale images (with trailing slash)
$pathToMoonImages = './wdlive/images/cb/moon/'; // path to the  moon phase images (with trailing slash)

but the path for the clientraw file is "dead".

Maybe I have to change Permissions on folders or ? I am confused.

Thanks again.

I believe the last O is actually a zero (for rain) coming from your ajaxWDwx.js file.  Line containing 'param =', I think  #-o
