My new self made weather site

And my new gadget - geiger counter for radiation measurement:

http://bgtimes.com/weather/GeigerMeasurement.htm

Weekly, monthly, 3 months and anual reports.

The 2 days hole in my chart is because I crossed all my country with counter. The result was litle borring - levels below 25 CPM.

Quake sensor with graphics is comming soon :slight_smile:

Monthly air pressure report from 3 distant places:

http://bgtimes.com/weather/Weather_files/AirPressMonth.jpg

Black - Varna, Bulgaria;
Blue - Sofia, Bulgaria;
Red - Kefalonia, Greece;

Why do you think Sofia is plotting so much lower? I would not expect that if they are all reporting barometric pressure adjusted to sea level.

Sea level in Varna weather station - 150 m:
http://weather.bgtimes.com/

Sea level in Kefalonia - 150 m:
http://bgtimes.com/weather/WeatherKfl.htm

Sea level in Sofia - 640 m:
http://bgtimes.com/weather/WeatherSF.htm

Distant betwen Varna and Sofia is 430km;

Distant betwen Sofia and Kefalonia - around 800km;

On Kefalonia WEB site are presented only air pressure and internal temperature and humidity. This is because the building is made mainly from concrete and I have many problems with wireless connectivity between outside sensors and main weather station. Soon I will resolve the problem with RS232 to WiFi device.

Because of Ionian Earth quake (1953) all the new buildings are made mainly from concrete.

What is the source of the Sofia data?

The three stations are WS2350.

OK, now I understand. It’s normal to report barometric pressure adjusted to what it would be at sea level, but you are charting the actual pressure reading.

Saving quakes with Onavi sensor.

All the quakes until now are made from my son and are for system test only:

Registering quakes and uploading to FTP is automated.

The raining period started in my town and for first time I caught relation between radiation level and rain. Last night there was a litle increasing of radiation:

Rain is visible at weekly weather report:

The blue line is rain, red dots here are wind speeed.

The first quake was caught from my weather center bgtimes.com

Vrancha, Roumania, 5.3 by Richter

Do you have some information about your onavi sensor and how it is installed?

Yes, I have information :slight_smile:

I bought it from Stanford university, then I join the BOINC project, this is a software where you can connect your sensor, when there is a quake, the information will be uploaded to the university. The problem is that the quake is not visible and it is impossible to show it on your WEB page.

This is the reason because I wrote a software, which is working with this sensor, register automaticaly the quake, then upload it to my WEB page.

The sensor is a litle plastic box, the conenction with PC is via USB on 115,200 baud rate, which is very hight speed communication and allow to measure shakes with hight frequency. I think the sensor is working very good and without communication errors.

The Stanford sensor project has been discussed on here before, I think there would be a lot of interest in the software if you released it.

Until now, my software can’t work without my WEB site. If someone wants to use it, I have to create new FTP user for him, then I will give him a simple Windows application, which have to work 24h. The data from quake will be automaticaly uploaded to my site on separated folder for this user. The local application sends to my server not JPG, it sends RAW data. I save this data to my SQL server. In the future I can draw it again and again with diferent scale, I can filter it and can do other processes over the data.

It’s not a problem if JPG from my WEB site is shown on any other weather web site.

If someone wants, I can connect him to my service. Maybe my server will have enought power for few other users.

The second radiation anomaly is caught from my geiger counter:

Hi all,

The Sun’s Magnetic Field is about to Flip:
http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/The_Suns_Magnetic_Field_is_about_to_Flip_999.html

I developed android application, which can use 3 dimensional magnetic sensor from phone, and send the information to my server via TCP/IP per few seconds. The result is WEB graphic.

Someone volunteer with old unusable android phone? The device have to be placed on place with WiFi internet, electrical supply for phone, far from metal elements, roads…

WOW! your site has everything in it.
No doubt lots of hours went into developing it.
My mind boggles on what you’ve done.

Great Job :slight_smile:

Thank you! :slight_smile:

By the way, I’m still searching for an old unusable phone with android operating system to start to measure Earth magnetic field…

An old cellphone ?..is there something to do with an old cell phone along with WD? 8O

i Have an old GTI9000 sleeping on the shelf for over a year now so if theres a thing i can do with it…

The last quake caught with Onavi quake sensor:

  • 4 on the Richter scale;
  • 60 km far from home;
  • 10 km deep;
