I cannot duplicate this on my blog.
If you PM me your WP admin login I will take a look at the theme files from the edit menu and also check the Discussion settings and compare to mine. You can make me a temporary admin login and delete it later if you want.

hi. Sorry for my english.

I have a little problem. I use PHP/AJAX World Multilngual Template. I succefully installed blog, see it on ( http://pocasiemost.vija.sk/wxblog ).

On my page i using windows-1250 coding (utf-8 not working, showing bad characters). in flyoutmenu.xml i use
Code: [Select]
<item caption="Požiarne riziko" link="http://www.pocasiemost.vija.sk/fwi.php"/>.

If i choose in WP admin - setting - reading charset utf-8, WP blog characters is fine, but in menu no. If i use windows-1250 in WP, menu is OK, but in blog no.

Can sameone help me?

To keep a consistent presentation on your site, you will need to use the same character set on all pages.

Since you are using Windows-1250 for your main site, you should select Windows-1250 for your blog.   If your database is already in UTF-8, you may need to convert it to Windows-1250 so your main site+menu and blog will all show the same characters.

Hope this helps,

Best regards,
Ken

Will there be an updated blog add-on for WordPress 3.0, which was recently released, or is the current theme compatible?

The current one is working fine on my site with WP 3.0

First off, thanks to everyone who has spent countless hours (even days or longer) making this.  I was perusing the boards and found this and decided to give it a go.

That said, I was good at programming HTML, but these newer coding have got me stumped.  I decided last week to upgrade everything on my weather website (www.doghausweather.com) and then give it a go to add a wxblog.

I updated the templates for the weather and got everything up.  Then, I learned my webhost also supports WP and I could do an install straight from my Dashboard at my host.

So, believing I was following all directions I began updating my files per the included instructions.

It has been more than a week now, I have finally managed to troubleshoot my codes to get the page to go from all white with the correct text to actually show a CSS template.  Quite a bit of progress for me there!

However, I seem to be lacking any sort of weather data on my blog page.

(WXBlog at  http://www.doghausweather.com/wxstitch

I have checked, rechecked, and checked again and I am sure I missed something simple, but it is eluding me at this point.

Somehow, along the way, I now have two boxes to select the CSS color page.

I am using the flyout menu (which is missing from the blog page) and have edited the links in the xml and php file, but working on how to get them to display on the wxblog main page.
The templates for wxblog are loaded into the the directory of the wxblog site.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks again for the great and hard work that makes these features possible!

UPDATE:  I have managed to remove the duplicate CSS Template Switch but it has entirely disappeared from the blog page now.... hmmmm.  Cannot get the flyout-menu to show, it is using the menubar even though I have everything else and the main page uses the flyout menu.  Still plodding along...though.

I think I got it working, mostly.

Somehow now, the CSS Theme switcher is missing on the blog page, I tried adding to the sidebar with no luck.

I was re-reading the installation instructions, they all state (I found several) to ensure I am using CSS Themeswitcher version 1.18.  The latest download I got from the www.642weather website is 1.17 as well as everywhere else I tried to download it.

Last issue is while the temperature shows on the blog page, the rest of the gizmo readings do not.  I have changed the image location per the instructions but have been unable to TS the reason for the remaining data not showing as it does on the other pages.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi,
I am trying to install the wordpress blog. It is working fine after installation if when I type :
www.mavahome.com/wxblog

But if I try to log in to choose the theme there seems to be a problem.
When I type the username and password and press enter, this happens :
http://www.mavahome.com/wxblog/wxblog/http://www.mavahome.com/wxblog/wp-login.php

Anyone seen this before and know what I am doing wrong?

Hi,
Been in contact with one.com all day and it seems like I have a dobbel-installation of wordpress.
Guess I have to do it all over again.

Update : Deleted all and installed all over again and it works, almost fine.
When entering the blog the menu changes to english.
Is there a file where I can change this to another language?

Hi Jonathan,

It's a bit more complicated to use the Blog template with non-WD setups .. this is due to the new split of both the Settings and tags files to support the different weather software as plugins themselves.

The Settings.php in V3 template will try to include Settings-weather.php from the same directory, and that file is needed to determine which weather software you have.

The tags file (CUtags.php for Cumulus) will need to include a CU-defs.php from the same directory which has the mappings of CU variables stored in the $WX[] array to Weather-Display variables used in the ajax-dashboard and ajax-gizmo.

Each wx....php page on your site needs Settings.php, Settings-weather.php, CUtags.php and CU-defs.php loaded in order to display weather conditions.  Since his wxblog plugin is in a subdirectory, it makes getting the location of the files a bit tricky.

If you have SSH access to your website, then these Linux/Unix symlink commands can make the page in a subdirectory work just like in the home directory
Code: [Select]
cd wxblog
ln -s ../Settings.php Settings.php
ln -s ../Settings-weather.php Settings-weather.php
ln -s ../CUtags.php CUtags.php
ln -s ../CU-defs.php CU-defs.php
ln -s ../common.php common.php
ln -s ../top.php top.php
ln -s ../header.php header.php
ln -s ../menubar.php menubar.php
ln -s ../ajax-images ajax-images
ln -s ../include-style-switcher.php include-style-switcher.php
ln -s ../flyout-menu.php flyout-menu.php
ln -s ../flyout-menu.xml flyout-menu.xml

So... I'll need to fiddle about with Mike's instructions to figure out the best way to have his wxblog plugin work with the V3 template set.
