Is there trouble where it is now? I can clearly see the snowflakes coming down. Anyway if it does fail, I told my wife that I tried the less costly cameras and they didn't work out. Then I can justify getting a real nice one for Christmas.

It seems like I went overboard when I mounted mine on the roof and added a home made 20W heater (3 x 6.8ohm resistors in series) and a 20Vac transformer (was 12V charger) and a spare PC PS fan running at 9Vdc.  It works fine now - it did used to fog up in cold wet weather - may have had a slight leak into the box.

I had read you posts referencing those features, but I thought I would give it a try with out. I purposely left air gaps to let it breath. I did not want to seal it with high humidity on the inside. We will see if frosting is an issue.

I made a snow gauge at work but it was too had to see cause
the camera is like 10' of so from it. I put the bird feeder up too
