But you have a serial datalogger don't you?
If you think it's related to this issue (and I don't think it will be) is there anything close to the console that would cause RF interference at just after midnight? Maybe a heater, air con or light that switches on at that time?
The article I linked before says:
"This issue applies in the main only to the USB version of the Weatherlink data logger (6510USB),
although it can occasionally also be encountered with serial port WL loggers connected to a PC's USB port via an external serial-to-USB adapter. The classic symptom here is that the logging system will perform perfectly well for a period, eg just 30 minutes in bad cases, but typically ranging up to many hours or days, but then communications with the WL logger will be lost.My Eee Box is brand new, I can't believe it's a hardware issue.
Plus, at midnight nothing special happens close to my console.
Have you tried running Weatherlink, instead of Weather Display, for a day or two to see it does the same thing? That would at least tell you if it's software related or not.
I don't think that Weatherlink works on Linux. Am I wrong?
Anyway, I can format my pc again and see what happen on Windows XP. For sure I'll try to connect my Davis to another pc. First I'll check it with serial port, and after using serial to usb adapter. That's the only way to discover if my theory is right.
