it is a cross compiler
and so yes it could be set to compile for a different end CPU (and not whole hog PPC)
something I could look into...

I was really hoping for some developement regarding this.
I have a Synology DS 210j and I am trying to avoid having an extra box just for WD if possible.
Running WD from my Synology would be exellent!

Hoping someone has some good news.

You may be in for a bit of a wait; Brian is currently putting the Windows version through many updates using a new compiler and likely is finding limited time to work on the Linux version, much less porting to new architecture.

He may chime in here though and make a liar of me.   8)
