I do not have my Mac Powerpc here at the moment
Yves, in France has it at the moment, working on getting things working correctly on that platform (thanks Yves!)
Once I get it back, then I will see about compiling a powerpc version of consolewd

download
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/consolewdslugppc.dat (remove the .dat once downloaded)
and then
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/deploy.zip

with the last one, copy those library files to /usr/lib/, and copy that deploy folder to where you have downloaded the consolewdslugppc to

then use the config.txt from the normal linux consolewd to configure, and the .sh file from that version, to launch it (change the name in the .sh)

firstly i have to thank for your Efforts.

But after installing and testing this Version, i am sorry to say that it is not running on my synology.
It reports some errors i could not understand.
For example, it says that this files are not found ???

It will probably be, that I must run a Windows server.

I have a QNap TS-101 which is very similar to the synology. It is the same processor architecture and runs linux. I am therefore very interested in this thread. It would be excellent if it was possible to make it run on this architecture in the same was as on the nslu2.

The files compiled for osx won't work since it is a completely different operating system. Maybe it is the right processor architecture but that won't help.

I'm not quite sure what compiler is used to compile wdconsole. Is it capable of cross compiling or does it have to run on the architecture it compiles for? If it cross compiles then maybe it can be compiled the same way the nslu2-version was compiled and just set the architecture output to ppc. Otherwise it might be possible to run a virtual machine with some linux installation on top of your osx and compile there. That might just do the trick.

I have tested the downloads by the way but they don't work. When running bash as a shell it simply refuses to execute the file. The ash shell that is default in the Qnap TS-101 is not that picky though. It tries to execute the file but it only results in garbage.
