Night time Metar Icon...
« on: September 20, 2008, 02:08:51 AM »
My icon from metar for night time only isnt working. My icon is showing Clear Sky's, but the metar is Overcast. WD is showing overcast for my metar under view/metar images., so i know thats correct. On my banner Icon and on my main screen in Wd its showing clear. I do have a solar sensor, but cant remember how to set to use local metar for night time. Thanks, Mark.

In my solar setup, i have "use metar for night time"

check these settings.... Control Panel > Solar Sensor > Thresholds/Icon/Solar Description. Do you have a check mark by 'include Metar cloud at night time' ?

Thanks Bill,....Yes i do..but i may have a conflict in settings....i also have "include wd conditions at nightime" checked..SS attached below. But if i uncheck that, that wont affect any of my data from my house will it? i just want the Metar icon and thats all for night time...

Those settings should only affect the icon. I don't think that you can use BOTH WD's and the Metar icon. You will have to uncheck one of them. Also, it wouldn't hurt to do a save/exit/restart after to make sure.

My clientraw file.. http://www.snoqualmieweather.com/clientraw.txt is showing night/overcast.. and also showing on my site. But its not showing night/overcast for the WD icon or on my banner. kind of odd cause it is showing as overcast in the clientraw file.

Well i know why my banner icon isnt changing, cause there isnt a "nighttime/overcast" icon in anoles banner script. well atleast that answers that prob.

Glad you got it working! Now if we can get one of the guru's to create and add a nighttime/overcast icon, we'll have it all.

Is there a Number in the clientraw that sets Sunrise or Sunset Icon? if there is what number is it? Or is that just based off of your long and lat.? Thanks, Mark.
