Information about CWOP
« on: September 02, 2008, 11:53:04 AM »
Hi guys,
i've visited my CWOP page at http://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/C8678
I've seen that my APRS position is wronged.
How to modify that parameters?
Are there others' errors in that page?
Thanks,

From that page right next to the map it states.....

Quote
If the displayed location (or elevation) of the weather observing location is incorrect, please drag the marker to the right location (or click in the right location), and then send the updated information. Please note that we are trying to spot either the Stevenson Screen (or equivalent) or the location where the barometric readings are taken.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your answer.
I have an incorrect APRS position not registered position.
This is the message: "The location reported in the weather reports (via APRS) is significantly different to the registered location above. In particular, the difference is about 1766.6 kilometers. If you have changed your location (or software) since the time above, then this can be a false alarm. Check the location currently being reported at findu.com."

But at findu.com the location is right!
Another question: Where could i find the image in attachment? And to insert radar location?
Thanks a lot,

Didn't you just find it to insert it?

(Funny how that image has gotten around.. I just throw it together one day.. back in 2005? Wow, time flies.)

I saw it on the page he linked in the first message.  It had the the map location of his CWOP station and below that another map showing his APRS location off the coast of Portugal in the North Atlantic.  It had the statement next to that map.

It's no longer on the page.
