I have just ran the moviemaker manually from the wd folder and it ran perfectly
It created the last hour video fine, i think the issue comes when its the all day video?

It looks like its both the last hour and all day videos, sometimes last hour is ok
but normally not

Starting movie creation now
ERROR: Invalid floating point operation at time/date 12:03:19 08/09/08

Still got this issue, I have not been able to create either last day nor last hour

I have installed 1 Vista hotfix although i aint sure if its the one i need, but it does
say its for WME, but it still dont play ball, does anyone know the fix for the WME please?

btw, mpeg works very well as does swf, i dont want to use swf due to the image quality :(

Hi Simon

Did you find a solution to this topic?

Im helping out a friend and he has excatly the same problem.

We have tried installing the hotfix for WM and done this:

log on as administrator - go to the WD folder, find WeatherD.exe, right click on it and  then click on the compatability tab.  In user priveliges click on run this program as administrator and also tick, use XP compatibility mode.

But problem still continues.

Best regards,

Henrik

I am running WD on Windows 7 and the problem is just the same. This is in RC build 7232 which I understand is very nearly the actual release code so I don't think we can expect anything different on 7's official release.

Mine stopped doing that after I installed the hotfix. I wonder what the difference is?

Hi

Its very strange what causes the error.

The moviemaker crashes everyday at noon - alldayvideoes are created fine until noon.

Lets hope someone will find a solution - or we all will be forced to run XP in the future........

Best regards,

Henrik

You can use the .swf flash alternative. This is what I do. I don't have an issue with image quality as can be seen on my web site. The only downside is that the movieflash app doesn't run in the background and will pop-up and steal the focus from whatever you are working on, just for a second or two but can be a minor intrusion. Nevertheless it does the same job as moviemaker very successfully.
