Ok, here's the link. That amount of data would drive you nuts on in the 'code' format here.

Back to the way it was earlier, debug is gone, no data is being made, no log files.

Code:
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  106
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  114
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  100
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  41
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  43
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  98
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  114
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  27
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  100
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  41
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  24
*****Received count =  ----------------------------->  3

I removed the debug code (thinking it was just going to work)
back to the drawing board, but that find was one step in the right direction
you dont have a windows pc to test on the windows version do you?

The weather station in question is 3000miles away unfortunatly. I only have access via ssh2 or a bumbling old man. . aka my pops.

bumply. Hopefully going to get my OMAP3 chip soon but I want to make sure I've got this working on that WMR918 first. If you need to, I can get you direct access to the server. It sounds like you don't have a test station to work with.

hi, no i dont have a wmr918 (only a wmr968)
i think if you got hold of a wmr968 station it would work

not sure why you are seeing differences in the expected data output (i.e with the FF's flag data seeming to be missing)

direct access to the server would help though, or better still, if possible, a virtual com port redirect over the internet
(normaly only available in windows?)

yeah, but wmr968 stations means a couple extra hundred dollars, if I can even find one. . I'll see if I can set up a serial->eth tunnel for you.
