I've got console running on a WMR918. Since it's the same as the 968 (I thought) I've been using
Code:
Weather station type=8

I get this output
Code:
Will not run cron files
****Weather Display vers WD console 3.0****

That looks right I assume. however, I'm not getting anything in logfiles nor do I get ANY data into the crons when I run them. . (Even after waiting for 1/2 hour of running the program before I do the crons. What am I doing wrong?

918, 928, 968 makes no diff.

Have you checked that console power adapter is OK? Serial will not work without lains power adapter.

Also give the whole thing a long cold reboot.

Well... . I originally was using my own script that I wrote to decipher the serial input. . That part worked/works just fine. Just. . I don't have the algorythm down right and sometimes it thinks the temperature is like 260 degrees. . DOUH! I'll give it a reboot but I know the serial input is working just fine.

ok, use this udpate
http://www.weather-display.com/downloadfiles/consolewd.dat

and remove the .dat from the end after downloading
then set the station type number to 3
in the config.txt

should work now (wait a minute after data starts)

no change other than it shows up as the 918 now. . I left it running for about 2 days after installing the new consolewd and rebooting the station.
