Building a BVUPS or DC UPS

I'm getting a WMR200A Oregon Scientific Professional Weather Station
and I would like !build! (not buy) something to use my home AC power system to supply the wireless sensors, like a UPS but with a DC output, I thinks there called BVUPS. However if a solar cell would be just as good and cheep to make, or yes... buy, I'd be up to make/buy one if some one could point me to some schematics or products that would work for the WMR200A sensors. I haven't got may hands on it yet so I don't now the requirements other than it probably takes AA batterys or something (post them soon). Ideas or schematics would be appreciated

Hi
I am not sure if this is good for you but,
with this circuit you can have two small solar pannels at serial conection bettwen them total 4,5 volts 100 mA ,3 bateries AA Ni-Mi 1300 mAh,regulator 78LC33,and you can have output 3,3 Volt.
