Sorry, just checked, the button that says button 1 is the one to click, not the one that says start.  Bad explanation on my part.  Did you wait 15 minutes after powering up the wmr100 console before running WD?

I ignore the carbon messages, I get those as well...

It could be a permissions problem.  Also, make sure you do the Units & Other settings, I think I had to do that before mine would work...

I waited the 15 minutes.  I will re-run setup.  Which com port is selected or do I leave it blank.  My available ports show two bluetooth ports and no others.

Thanks,

James

If your talking about in WD there is no port to select, the WMR100/200 is USB only.  Where are you seeing port selections?

The second setting window for the "Setup Wizard" asks for a com-port name.  I have been leaving it blank.  I would be open to allowing remote access if you are interested.  I have one PC in the house and seven (7) macs.  The only thing the pc does is run Virtual Weather for my WMR100a.  I want to be rid of all PCs in the house if at all possible.

I am not familiar with the setup wizard.  I would leave it blank unless Brian says different...

I use logmein and chicken of the vnc for remote connections.  I'm not sure if the Mac has a native remote connect feature so you may need to install logmein or a vnc server so I can connect.  Do you have something on your Mac that would allow me to remote in?

I just used "BacktomyMac" to remote in and installed "LogMeIn" on my mac.  I will be home around 9 pm eastern tonight.  Please let me know what time is good for you.  I will post when I get home tonight.

Anytime is fine with me as I am on the west coast.  But I go in and out all the time but try to check my computer each time I come in.  I have chat open right now so you could try to raise me in the chatter room.  I am helping out in the rv park today as they are burning some grass piles and downed tree limbs along the river bank...

that would be great if you could help via remote login dan (although you might have to restart the OSX), as I have to take the 9 year old to the dentist today and then I have doing a presentation at school this afternoon about the weather....

It appears we have WD and the WMR100 communicating.  I set read/write permissions on the wdisplay folder, re-installed the IOUsbFamily drivers, and I had to re-select the WMR100 station type as the WD console was showing WMR100 - Stationless.

Looking good at the moment...

wd is confusing ther is a setup wizard under ation on the top of the  screen this will go through the prosess
on the station type can be a little mind scrambling since their are so many station listed on the bottom left a box oregon scientific click and then varify the model # then choose the usb port  # go through the rest of the prosess then exit out of wd and reopen wd wait a few minutes the data will start coming in

OK, now that I have the WMR100 capturing data on my Mac, how do I make the window of WeatherD larger?  I can barely read the legends on the graphs.  Is there a way to make the window larger?  I cannot find it.
to make wd bigger click setup then go down to screen size their is a right arrow move the mouse over the section
a box will pop out giving the options to increase screen size my length or width with rectangular horizontal screens click width and then on the main setup pull down click increase screen size just below the bar previously used click once and the display should form to the specifications of the screen make shure the icon full screen is on

Hello there,
I am trying to get the weather display to work on my mac. I have followed all the instructions given but when I try to run the install.sh from a terminal window I get the following message:
WARNING: Improper use of the sudo command could lead to data loss
or the deletion of important system files. Please double-check your
typing when using sudo. Type "man sudo" for more information.

To proceed, enter your password, or type Ctrl-C to abort.

Is this normal? I tried putting in my password but it just says "sorry, try again".

I also tried running my wmr100 on VM fusion. It worked for a day but then all the graphs went flat. When I downloaded the mac version I reset the console and unplugged it and took out a battery before trying on the mac version.
Any help would be much appreciated.
