MeteoHub working with WD and WMR928
« on: February 22, 2008, 11:32:58 AM »
Hi,
I've just installed WD getting data from MeteoHub. All working on the first try! :D

But what I've seen is that WD gets data from MeteoHub more slowly than normal (than direct connection).
In WD the number on the side of "Data Received" incrments about 1 every minute (+/-). Also the "Data quality" is green but sometimes blinks red. "Data Received" is normaly grey.

Any idea?

Thank you

Hi Brian,

I've tested with meteohub, and I see that the "Data received" is updating about once a minute. In about 20 minutes has updated 27 times.

When not connected trought meteohub, direct connection to the station, WD is updating aprox. 1 time every 2 or 5 seconds.

Can I do anything to update faster trought meteohub?

Also, I've seen that the wind sensor seems is not working trought meteohub. In meteohub (dashboard) I see the correct value, but not in WD.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

I've post the question just above to the www.meteohub.com forum and this is the reply I have.

Meteohub gives data immediately a sensor has send some to the TCP/IP interface. Reason why WD should only update once a minute or so is unclear to me. May be Wd expects data coming in with a certain timing? But I am just guessing here...

If you like you can listen on Meteohub's port 5557 with nectcat (standard in linux distribution, can be downloaded for windows as well) and can see the stream of data coming in.

I did test the TCP/IP feature of Meteohub a lot, because this feature allows a Meteohub system that is not directly connected to a weather station to hook up to another Meteohub that has a weather station connected. This way you can daisy-chain Meteohubs.

Anyone has a solution on this problem/question?

Thank you.

I have not had a chance to work on it further yet

there was a person on this forum (alabama) that was trying to contact me for help...not sure why he can not send me a email or PM ....seems a bit strange....that one...
