Weather display is a memory hog

and i think this causes problems for people with low end PC’s and windows 98

but new MB’s and memory now a days is cheap
so should I be concerned?
I do know a way to reduce memory a bit:
consolidate the extra temp/hum variables…
they have been added to and added to, and there is some duplication

but if people are using lots of features, then I recommend 128Mb on the PC

I agree Brian.
512 Mb should be the bare minimum nowadays I think. There is lots of software out there that hogs more memory than WD.

Rather than a blanket statement I think you need to make special mention of W98 because of its poor memory management and inferior multitasking compared to later OS’s. Even with a lot of memory and 3rd party memory management software it’s not going to be a great solution for running WD and other software at the same time.
