OK its a bit of a work in progress - but if you take a look through the folder of images your get the general idea.

Thanks Andy, I got the icons and they look fine.

I have some issues with the script that I will post in another message.

I need some help with this script.

Here is my current version:

http://billhogsett.com/wd/lcdipad30.html

There are two problems, both of which are of the where is it variety?

First, the script uses a background of "backgroundipad1.png".  The icons folder doesn't have that file.  I am using "backgroundipad.png", but it is showing a white background.

Second, how is the wind gauge being generated?  Obviously, now I am still linking to wind in London, which is not what I want.  8-)

Morning Bill,

The background image is a left over from some early tests - the page should simply have a black background. I've removed the element now at:

http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/weather/lcdipad30.html

The win gauge html simply goes in the same folder and points to your client raw file:

http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/weather/windgauge1.html

Its called in via an iframe...

Hope that helps you get it working :)

The windgauge doesn't appear on my iphone's screen! All the other items are ok.
On my pc's screen everything is fine!

I have the same issue with your implementation too(on my iphone only).
My iphone is the 3G model.

It does not work with Safari for some reason, but if you go to the app store and install 'Perfect Browser', set it to desktop Firefox or Chrome mode then everything works fine and should be ok on the 3G.

I have it working on my PC, need to get it checked out on an iPad. Also needs some work to correct the validation errors. www.mad-weather.com/ipad.php
Good to see everyone moving with the times and making available scripts to work on mobile devices.
Thanks.

Hi Bogget -

If you grab

http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/weather/windgauge1.html

and put it in the same folder  - then just change the source of the clientraw file in windgauge1.html - this will get the wind guage pulling in your data.

Finally - as its pulled in via an iFrame change 'http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/weather/windgauge1.html' in iPad30.html to your source so www.realtimeweather.net/windgauge1.html

Does that solve things?

If anyone is interested i have a new page:

http://www.casa.ucl.ac.uk/cumulus/ipad.html   its a mix of WD and Cumulus via Virtual VP, could all be done via WD but couldent quite work out the tags needed - runs well on the ipad/iphone.
