Getting an error on my Flyer page all of a sudden. Been using it for a few months without any problems at all...This is the error..

Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_fetch_file() in /virtual/users/e16108-17165/web/wxflyer.php on line 394

 $Status .= "<!-- Warning: forecast-discussion cache file size = " . strlen($xml) . " is too small.. fetched data not found. -->\n";
     $Status .= "<!-- forecast-discussion Cache file HTML contents: " . htmlspecialchars(strip_tags(str_replace('-->','',trim($xml)))) . " -->\n";
     $get_file_failed = 1;   <<<<<< Line 394

By the looks of it, its a cache problem. I've deleted the nws-forecast-discussion.txt file and made a new one and set it to 666, but the problem is still there. Ive also tried to Force an update, but that didnt do anything. Any Ideas? Thanks, Mark.

Mark, what version is your wxflyer.php?
the latest version is Version: 1.12 - 06-Nov-2009
If you have an older version that could be the cause.

Mike

I downloaded a new file from your site lastnight, So it must be something else causing this issue.

It is because you changed the alert box to the AtomFeed
The curl_fetch_file function is normally included in the atom-advisory.php that you removed. It is needed for the forecast discussion.
You could try extracting that function and adding it to the wxflyer.php

Is this normal for the discussion? (note spelling, time format and capitalization)

Looks like they use the vitameatavegamin before they type
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=vitameatavegamin

:lol: I finally got a chance to look that up.  :lol:

The discussion has been changed to two more forecasts.

Hi guys,
how about my header issue?

Many thanks,

Alessandro

Because it is a printable page, it is supposed to show your web site URL at the top.
Like here:
http://www.642weather.com/weather/local-flier.php

Yours is not even doing that.

Your page has many validation errors. I would start there.

All those errors are from the Print button that you've added in this part of the page:
Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript">
function stampa(){
if (window.print) {
    window.print() ;
} else {
    var WebBrowser = '<object id="WebBrowser1" width=0 height=0 classid="clsid:8856F961-340A-11D0-A96B-00C04FD705A2"></object>';
document.body.insertAdjacentHTML('beforeEnd', WebBrowser);
    WebBrowser1.ExecWB(6, 2);
}
}
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var NS = (navigator.appName == "Netscape");
var VERSION = parseInt(navigator.appVersion);
if (VERSION > 3) {
    document.write('<form><input type=button value="Stampa questa pagina" name="Print" onclick="stampa()"></form>');
}
</script>
Try removing that code and see if the header will display correctly and the page will validate.
The header title is there, it's just hidden behind the menu and the main page area.  :wink:

Hi Martin,
now the page is validated but the header doesn't still show correctly.
http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.meteocarmignano.it%2Fwxflyer.php
And how about the print button?

Many thanks,

Alessandro
