I only went for the bargain basement version ...ie a cost matter...However, I suspect that the later version with the glass lense could be even better...

I have cost issues too, but whilst browsing for the notebooks pro i came across that 1
and wondered what the difference would be like with the glass lens...

Looks like the pro is £29 off eBay including shipping but then i would need the USB to lan
adapters as well as i am at the wrong side of the house :(

I just noticed that 1 i posted is the quickcam pro for notebooks and not quickcam for
notebooks pro not sure if theres a big difference..

I am gonna have to get something soon though as my stupid VEO ip camera keeps droping
out and i have to search for it again, its a pain in the butt to be honest..

Took me weeks to get it working and now i wish i didnt manage it lol

That's the newer model with the fancy lens.

Chris at Cape Weather said he was going to try one and see how it compared to his current ones.

Those buying the newer model will find it more expensive... and it creates an opporunity for folks to pick up the older one as Logitech tries to reduce inventories.
