Hurricane Dean
« on: August 18, 2007, 03:27:57 AM »
Already a Category 4 hurricane with winds of 145mph. Two days away from Cayman and nothing but hot water between.
Projections are for us to get a Cat 5 hurricane with gusts of 175+mph.

We seem to be in for a bumpy ride. This will be a good test of the station equipment and WD. Follow the excitement of my web site.

Hi
I was just thinking about you when I was just looking at the projections!
now, checking my code, you can set the upper limit speed (in the offsets setup)
but, I found I do have override check in place, ignoring speeds above 94mph (even if you set the limit greater than that)
(because of weather station types that report spikes in the data)
so, use this new .zip download to be able to register speed higher than that!
