Question about Davis cable.

Will a regular telephone cable work between the console and the station?

Serial? Yes, but some phone extensions aren't made the right way so you have to be very careful to be sure that the wires don't get crossed.

Thank you.  Looking carefully I see that the wires are in the module thing opposite.  Davis seems to have thought of everything to keep us still buying their products!

Thank you.  Looking carefully I see that the wires are in the module thing opposite.  Davis seems to have thought of everything to keep us still buying their products!

Just buy a pair of crimps and make your own wire... it's actually pretty easy.

I have the console in the Living room, hooked up through my Cat5 network (not going through a switch). Got a straight pass through cable on the other end (RJ11) that goes into my server (running WD).

Works great approx distance is 25odd meters, as long you have your cables correct you should be ok.
