Hi!
I'm completely new to 1-wire, but I'd like to supplement my VP2 with an ultrasonic snow depth sensor, and also monitor temperature in my barn. As I already have an ethernet cable running out to the barn, and I understand there is a distance limitation on 1-wire networks, being able to use the already existing ethernet would greatly simplify my plans, although the hardware cost will be slightly higher. It would also enable me to put up the snow depth sensor in a better place for "undisturbed" snow, and a future lightning detector could be put up much farther from an electrical fence.
Does anyone know if WD will work with a 1-wire ethernet hub, like these
