Glad to see the spaghetti harvest is No 1, it really is a classic which is totally harmless. So many jokes today don't meet that criteria.

That list does not include the one that 2 feathered friends are playing on me at the moment.

They have decided to start building a nest in my rain gauge.  8O   #-o

Bob, thanks for sharing.  This is great.  I think their support may rival Brian's.

Too bad I have a septic system and drain fields.  First I can't get cable or DSL and now this guess I'm stuck with satellite.

That's great bob, but i wouldn't fancy the pull through job on that one.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do about the birds in my rain gauge. One is sitting in there now.

Ask it politely to move. If it refuses buy a golden eagle and put a perch for it just below the rain gauge. The smaller birds will soon get the idea (or prove that survival of the fittest is still valid)

aardvark (?) has a solution, tape plastic cable ties around the edge so they stick up vertically like a crown.

Thanks Chris, I will try and slowly move it later and get a photo.

I might give this a try, remember reading about it.

maybe... birds could just build a bigger nest with the new side framing that was recently installed...
