%weathercondinput% tag on web page
« on: January 07, 2007, 04:07:39 PM »
I'm trying to use add a link for a remark on my web site that I can update through WD. I thought that the %weathercondinput% tag would suit my purpose but can't seem to figure out how to get the data in that particular tag. When I enter text in the "input daily weather for weather conditions now" area, all that shows up in the tag is ---. Any ideas?           -Bill

To follow-up...I discovered that you have to tick the "Use this text to update Weather Display Live" box from the input daily weather page to have the data available for the tag.

Actually, after a little more investigation I found that the %statusmessage% ............special status message tag may be more appropriate for what I was trying to do.

make sure you have set the template filename correctly
e.g
wxlocal.html in the webfiles folder
and then wd will create a new file with the tags filed in, and upload that (and you can set the remote filename of that too)
