At this moment I have 1-wire working on a debian sarge i386 machine. It looks like very simple.
It uses the packet digitemp. The install is easy, and it works on my comport.
Digitemp also reads counters (windspeed) and adc (hygro/baro) devices.
I’m working now on a way to get all the data into WD.
1 idea is to make a clientraw.txt file of all the data and feed that in to WD.
I’m not a Linux goroe, but in small step I get there.
(owfs and UWW I did not get it working under debian.)
Anyone a good idea to get the import thing working?
The digitem is just 1wire software http://www.digitemp.com what is available for a lot of i386 Linux versions.
Data extraction from the 1wire sensors into an readable file for wd, is the trick
Herefor I need to study a bit more Linux (debian)
wordking on it…
first we have a holyday here.
When you say UWW do you mean OWW??? I had the same problem it would not work when installed from the TAR under a debian system. Easy answer was download the RPM and then convert to a DEB using Alien install the deb and it worked first time. Using the deb to install tells you if you have any dependencies missing so makes it easy to troubleshoot, or type oww in a command window this will also give you an idea if there is a problem.
