I would like some help from you ppl:)
I have been seeing different weather display live sites of you guys and i have seen different ones, i have entered the config page, but i cant seem to find out how to change the background and also to change the position of the type of weather like example “Dry” i would like to move it more to the right… any help pls?

To move the Conditions Text find the tag and adjust those coordinates…
To add a background image you would add it to your tag in the WDL Index file. If you want the background to show through your WDL display you also have to change the wmode to transparent as noted in this post…

Also another thing, are there different types of dials? As i have seen different temp dials on other weather display lives… could you please explain how i can change them pls ?
If you will view the configuring_wdl.pdf that comes with the WDL download you will see the different options for different displays and dials and how to use one or the other for selected values…

Thanks i managed to move it! what are the exact names of the wind gust and wind direction, to enable its 1 not 0 right?
1 = display
0 = do not display

Hi again… I hope you don’t mind me coming in! It’s just one question about wdl. Would you know why I have to click twice on the wdl buttons to view them? Many wdl sites are like this but some will allow you to say see the webcam with just one click…?

I saw that on a few sites. I think it’s because of that ‘Click to activate’ Microsoft thing. The first click activates and the second does the work. But…I could be wrong.

I wonder if the difference could be those that have ienoactivate.js installed in their WDL directory versus those, like me, that don’t?

Could you also help me out as you will see the forecast changes every 10 seconds with the txtconditions part and the image also… could you tell me how to leave the forecast and also the txtcondition rather then switching every 10 seconds?
To quote page 16 of the guide to configuring WDL pdf file in the download pacakge -
If you are using a Davis Vantage Pro then you can display the forecast text provided
via Weather Display. To do so set this tag to a number between 1 and 99
corresponding to the number of seconds between the alternating of the current
conditions and the forecast text.

In this example the current conditions and forecast text will alternate at 10 second
intervals. Set to 0 to only show current conditions, set to 100 to only show forecast.
To make the icon follow the current conditions of forecast text set this tag to 1
my settings are as follows:
<showDavisForecast>100</showDavisForecast>
<switchForecastIcon>1</switchForecastIcon>
however i dont have the part where it tells you dry/rain/night time…
You are referring to the current conditions as described in my post above.
