The last few times I had to shut down the computer for a bit WD would not pull in the data from the logger.
I was shut down for 20 min one time and it did get 2 lines of data but that was it. Not sure if its a new bug or my old data logger is showing its age.

Running 10.36R and the Davis WMII

Hi Scott...my WD had crashed around 145am Wed morning but I didn't notice it until that afternoon. When I restarted WD it successfully downloaded the missing 12 hrs of data. Did you manually reset the time on your WMII console since the time change?

A question for you WMII owners: Do you have inside humidity working?  Mine doesn't. Console shows "----" all the time, WD shows a stuck 50% reading.

Is there any seviceable part inside console to bring my inside humidity back to life?

The inside humidity is working for me. I just found my problem some how the data logger got locked up. even after clearing it it will pick up data from 5 days back. Going to try the software that came with it to reset it all and start new I hope. Its going to get hard for parts for us WMII folks soon due to Davis has stopped production of the WMII.

You might try reseting the console. Remove your back up battery and the min power wait one minute and then reapply the power and your backup battery. If its just a lockup that should do it. Also make sure you cycle all the data cable plugs when you have the power off just to ensure you have good contacts. I think that was or is one of my problems. This unit has been running for 10 years.

Hope that helps.

Console reset with no success. so I have decided to open it and take a look inside....  I've found the humidity sensor, working erratically (but working) every time I touch on its soldered contacts. After a very short Google search I've found the component: http://www2.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~hochmuth/bvp/humidity.pdf. So I'm going now to my nearest electronic components store Smile

I'll tell you about.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted out. Smile
Breitling...best of luck on getting the inside RH component replaced. Fortunately, I haven't had a problem with mine.

I have replaced my WMII indoor RH component, taking care not to put too much heat on the circuitboard. Everything ok !! Smile

This is the component, located just behind the Davis logo:
