The webspace were I am hosting the weather station is starting to get thin. I had to turn off a webcam. And probley will have to turn off more things. I was thinking of moveing all the past history of my weather station to a space that I had else were. and just make links to it from the main station.

If I do this will it harm anything?????

Thanks.

You would need to alter any links to the historical data being moved...

I have also considered this option, but have not yet gotten to the point of taking the plunge so haven't fully explored what would need to be updated to link properly...

If you continue to allow WD to upload historical data as you have been, and just move older data, you shouldn't have any issues with WD itself.

I am going to have to some thinking of if I even want the history. No even sure if anyone looks at it. Might just program WD not to save history.

I don't think WD or WDL use the info on your webserver to calculate anything, everything should be done on the computer running WD.  (If they happen to be the same machine then you have problems).  I think the only thing that would be affected is what you make available to your site visitors (historical data graphs and such).  You should be able to link to this data if you move it to another server.

Well I moved all my history that was on my weatherstations main site to my ISP free space that they gave me and I believe I changed all the links to show the new place. But if anyone sees a error please tell me. Thanks.
