Time Machine?

at 16:00 there was to have been an update. however, from the full ftplog this :
ERROR: 301: Timeout. at time/date 12:00:00 AM 12/30/1899

Ah. Ok, can anyone tell me about 12/30/1899

That’s a bit before my time!..I did a web search and found that it’s some kind of quirky date recognition thing with NT, Lotus and a bunch of other apps. Maybe some of the software engineers on this forum can explain. It’s all over my head! As far as your main ftp problem, I reverted back to ftpupd ver 6.42 and it’s been working fine for the last 24hrs. If you need a copy, I’d be happy to e-mail one.

Kevin and Aard…just a note on the ftp, I have been using 6.42 with every new version for (well since 6.42) and have had flawless operation. Its the one for us dial up guys. Its the first thing I do when I load a new version is replace the new ftp with 6.42
:slight_smile: Jon

email me a copy.

It looks like the e-mail here does’nt allow attachments. You could give me your e-mail address as a private message to me, so it won’t be made public. Then I’ll send it via my own e-mail?

Delphi, and a lot of other applications, store dates as time elapsed since 12:00:00 AM 12/30/1899 so internally;

0 = 12/30/1899 12:00 am
2.75 = 1/1/1900 6:00 pm
-1.25 = 12/29/1899 6:00 am
35065 = 1/1/1996 12:00 am etc.
