The site I use to find my numbers is http://www.wfas.us/content/view/17/32/.  While it doesn't list the numbers your looking for, you can make some rough estimates based on their data.  For instance, http://www.fs.fed.us/land/wfas/kbdi.gif is the Keetch-Byram index.  Some of the other graphs deal with moisture and you can use those for the DMC and DC.

While it would be nice to have the exact figures the site should provide you with enough data to get your readings started.  Keep in mind that some of the readings take over 50 days to start tracking.   I don't recommend you make changes after you set it up unless absolutely necessary.  If you keep making changes the data will take a long time to track with your weather.  Also, it doesn't take much rain to drop the FWI to near zero, so if you get rain and it drops just leave it and it should track back.

I think Brian is working on the FWI module.

Were you able to set your initial values?  After researching your area using the site I posted it doesn't appear you have much of a fire danger in your area.  The moisture content is high and the drought code is low.  I see you have your numbers posted on your site, just wondering if those are current?  WD should re-calculate them at 1300 hours daily.

Here's a good site that explains the values Brian uses in the FWI setup.

Try your local CFS brigade, or the head office.  Over here in ACT/NSW we can access a range of FWI data from NSW and ACT RFS websites, supplied by the BOM.

Cheers

Any idea how I get this to work for Tasmania Australia? Anywhere I can get the info from, I am getting some readings at the moment, but I don't know if they are accurate. I also have to update it manually as it doesn't do it automatically
Cheers

I seem to have some data in the FWI (don't know where it's coming from, having read just that folks can't get info for Australia)Where is the info coming from, is it accurate, and how the heck did I manage to get it set up?    http://people.aapt.net.au/~tell18/fwi.htm

WD does its own FWI calculations from your data

Hello All,

Yea i am back at trying to figure this FWI settings again.
Called the NWS and they didn't know anything about the data i needed to input in there. Now the system is showing this:

Last Updated: 05/27/08 at noon
Current Weather conditions
TEMP(°F)   RH(%)   WIND(mph)   DIRECTION   24 HOUR RAIN (mm)
78.3             62           5.2                 345              8.1
Yesterdays values
FFMC     DMC     DC     ISI      BUI      FWI
79.2         1        18       1.2          1         0.3
Todays values
FFMC     DMC     DC     ISI      BUI      FWI
43.5         0         12      0.1          1         0.0

Does anyone know where i can get the settings for the FFMC, DMC, DC, ISI, BUI for my area in simple terms?

Thanks.
