Disabling data?
« on: March 01, 2006, 02:43:35 PM »
I don't have a rain gauge or anemometer connected to my station. I'd like to keep that data from being sent to CWOP and WUnderground. Is there a way to turn those off so they're not sent along? I'd rather have no data from those going out than zeroed data.

no i dont have that ability
why not set to use the windspeed from a nearby metar (and rain too)
not much of a weather station without wind or rain...in my opinion
you could add a vortex anenometer easily and relatively cheaply and a 1 wire rain guage too...

It supplies the temp and pressure. Any data no matter how little is still better than none. The nearest METAR is O'Hare. Six miles away and sometimes with the temp gradients a million. I live in an apartment so mounting much more than the thermo/hygro isn't going to happen. I guess it could but there's no place to gather good data.
