the error is with the updating of the VP forecast
not sure why that is causing you an error at this stage....i will have to think about it some more.

ok this can also be a explaination for the fact, that the forcast language in the main screen always swithed to english and i haved x-ticked the german language in the summary setup without effect, but surprisely choice of any other language suddenly change! only german not working correct. always when the "com-port" problem occurs, then also the language problem with the forecast.

And another one is the time from the first occur: Many month there is good function. Many weeks ok with the version 10.31z. then to a time, where i was not on the pc (sure, no change on any pc- or software konfiguration) suddenly the forecast language turned to english and the problems stayed. since now with all updates without few times where the function is normally.

Perhaps other user have same problem but have not so a look because their have no com port free feature in use?

=> when i try reselect german language:  no effect but somtimes effect after many tries. and after one minute english language again.
     when i chose any other language then this choice stabil, but other mayor errors still occur.
=> i use the com port release because other software (weatherlink) any half hour reads the data-logger. Preferable i use wd for the wd-live feature. the wd- live feature is unreachanable for any other software!

Meanwhile i have experienced with the forecast / summary setup, Maybe it is usefull for you:

1. ticked: show no icons at all:       laguage switched to german automaticaly, all errors where lost!
2. unticked: show no icons at all:   surprisely no error, also after restard wd: since about halb an hour is running so!
                                   
Because of Nr. 2:  I have a look of this and when the error comes back then i make again Nr. 1 and Nr.2

For me is this a good workaround meantime you have the solve.
Now i feel much better!

I found also a point of interest between the time of "normal" function:
a few days ago: the icon in the main screen shows night snow. the icon in the
summary image was "moderate rain" and the text in the summary image was "moderate snow".
I was surprised because i had expected the summary image icon is the same as in the  main screen.

that sounds like a good find 
i will investigate tomorrow the use of the german selection for the vp forecast text

Unfortunatly there was not long good work: Since 00:02 p.m. while normal working suddenly the errors back again 
And restart an doing  ticked show no icons at all no effect!
I am waiting für tomorow perhaps you can help.

no not with own icons but with the standard icons via manually choice.
But important: I have input a own forecast text. This was a few days before and could be the time as the errors begun happen.
I think i have resetted this text meanthime (not only deleted in the box). Surely I have resetted now again and wd save and exit.

Yes, all icons show ok.

What happens since my post yesterday:
- I have closed and restart wd often every some minutes. Sudenly -as often before- the errors was lost! And it funktionally since now!  But i know this is meantime or the reset it i have made now has an effect.
I will wait until the error´s back again (I am sure this must be in a few minutes ) and post again.
