is that with a davis sensor?     It seems it isn't calculating the sunshine hours even though on the solar graph and in the log there is data to show the sensor is getting the data.
VP2, Daytime Fars, Solar/UV; Soil station; extra temp/humid station; extra temp stations; Windows 7, 8G Ram , 1TB drive/external and Windows xp for weather data.

Yes. That is with the Davis VP and an added solar sensor. I'm not surprised you aren't getting much with the 42 setting. If I understand this right, that would cut the amount sensed by the Davis by more than half.

I took some time to coax the mead to decide to do something ..like ferment  and when I came back... I am showing now 0.3 hours.  I am going to set the sunny icon to something less than 80

I really think if you change your VP adjustment setting you will see quite a difference. I have my sunny set to 85 and it seems to work fine. Since it's snowing at the moment my current data won't prove anything.  :)

Snow is actually late for us. Just flurries. At the moment it looks like the drought might be back. Last year I was commuting via snowmobile by now. I don't miss my rain gutters!  :D
