Any plans to support Meteobridge

OK. You wrote:

http://<meteobridge>:<password>@192.168.29.246/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi

Did you have the <> in there? Can you try it without?

I had already tried without the tags <>. Same scenario. Tried every combination I can think of.
All result in the same thing.

can you post what you are putting in the WD setup for the IP address?
(but post a user/pass that is not correct say)

This is the correct url from the meteobridge wiki as niko pointed out:
http://":@"192.168.29.246/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi

These I just tried hoping they would work:
http://“<user>:<password>”@192.168.29.246/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi
http://meteobridge:[email protected]/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi
meteobridge:[email protected]/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi
http://192.168.29.246/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi
192.168.29.246

what are you actually putting in the IP setup in the meteohub setup in WD?
(because its a local IP behind a firewall it does not matter if we see the user/pass

http://":@"192.168.29.246/cgi-bin/livedataxml.cgi

the suggestion by Niko is to not have those <>
also you should not have the http:// or any " or the /cgi part on the end (as WD adds all that (if you tick that you have a meteobride)
try just

meteobridge:[email protected]

in the IP setup in WD

or it might be that I need set the user/password as part of the HTTP component instead (and so you then just have the 192.168.29.246 in the IP setup and I set where you enter the user/pass in WD in the setup

new .zip update available now
where you can enter the username and password into the meteobridge setup in WD
and then just set the IP address as 192.168.29.246 there as well

meteobridge:[email protected]

Looked like WD was trying to work. Data received was flashing green counting up
and data quality was green. High wind speed alarm went off even though there
wasn’t any wind recorded or any settings made to high wind alarm. Rain fall
information data went to 0.00in. for everything. If you close and restart WD with
both checked off a ssecond time data received and quality are red.

Then in Debug info after closing and restarting WD:
Doing checking of time zone calculation
Daylight saving in use
Loaded all time records
connected OK to com port 1

But you need to have the meteo bridge setting in use and set there the username/password
did you do that?

Yes I did do that.

I am not familair with this screen as it is brand new.

QUESTION is it necessary to have BOTH meteohub and meteobridge checked?
Seems to me that only one is needed.

192.168.29.246:80/meteolog.cgi? => that is the meteohub url, not the meteobridge one

Can you post a screenshot of that setting page so that we know how it looks?

Wim

Be later. Be about 4 to 5 hours from now. At work on lunch break.

those settings look correct
dont change from that
(its been confusing as you have posted about checking off those settings, etc)
with those settings in use
what shows in the meteohub.txt file in the web files folder

What I meant about checking off is meteobridge in use with a check mark and use with meteohub
unchecked. Then both with a check mark.

meteohubdata.txt

OK
we are getting data
this good

I will plug that data into WD and see what shakes loose (the data format might be different from a meteohub)

Hi
use build 280 zip update
and it should work

That did it. Thank you. Your time and effort are very much appreciated.

Vinny

Hi
have now added support for this to the Mac version
in doing so have made some improvements to the windows version
i.e so try using the latest .zip update
